Arthur Rosenberg Biography
Arthur Rosenberg (19 December 1889 – 7 February 1943) was a German Marxist historian and writer. Born on 19 December 1889 in Berlin, Rosenberg excelled academically and studied at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Berlin. He specialized in Roman constitutional history and held a PhD in ancient history and archeology. During World War I, Rosenberg served in the army and worked for the Kriegspresseamt. Following Germany's defeat in 1918, he joined the Independent Social Democratic Party and later the Communist Party of Germany. Rosenberg is best known for his Marxist analysis of historical events, including the rise of fascism in Germany. He passed away on 7 February 1943.
