Brian Jordan Alvarez (born July 10, 1987) is an American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He gained recognition for his recurring roles as Estéfan in Will and Grace (2018–2020) and Wesley in Jane the Virgin (2015–2016). Alvarez is also known for his self-produced films and series, including the popular web series The Gay and Wondrous Life of Caleb Gallo (2016). Born in Manhattan, New York City, Alvarez grew up in Winchester, Tennessee, where he discovered his passion for acting and filmmaking. Despite facing bullying for his sexuality in middle school, he pursued his passion and attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Alvarez further honed his skills at the USC School of Dramatic Arts, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
