Dylan William Moran (born 3 November 1971) is an Irish comedian, writer, actor, artist, and poet. He gained recognition for his observational comedy and is best known for his work in the comedy series Black Books, which he co-wrote and starred in. Moran has also appeared in films such as Shaun of the Dead, Run Fatboy Run, and A Film with Me in It. He regularly performs at comedy festivals worldwide, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Kilkenny Comedy Festival. In 2007, he was ranked 17th on Channel 4's list of the greatest stand-up comedians, and in 2010, he was ranked 14th.
