George Blagden Biography
George Blagden is an English stage and film actor, born on 28 December 1989. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Louis XIV in the French-produced television series drama Versailles. Blagden's notable film appearances include playing Grantaire in the 2012 adaptation of Les Misérables and Athelstan in the TV series Vikings (2013–2016). He has also lent his voice to the Penguin Classics audiobook version of Homer's The Odyssey and provided narration for an immersive audiovisual tour of the Circus Maximus in Rome. Blagden began his career in music, singing in choirs and his own rock band before pursuing acting. He attended Oundle School on a drama scholarship and was a member of the National Youth Theatre.
