Jake Choi is an American actor best known for his role as Miggy on the ABC comedy Single Parents. Born on January 14, 1985, in Elmhurst, Queens, New York, Choi is of Korean American descent. He was raised by his single mother and comes from working-class immigrant roots. Choi graduated from Newtown High School in 2004, where he played on the school's varsity basketball team. After high school, he moved to South Korea to play basketball at Yonsei University and later in the Korean Basketball League. Returning to the United States, Choi pursued acting and studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute. He has appeared in various TV shows and movies including Younger, EastSiders, and The Sun Is Also A Star.
