Marion Ross, born Marian Ellen Ross on October 25, 1928, is an American actress known for her role as Marion Cunningham in the ABC television sitcom Happy Days, which aired from 1974 to 1984. Throughout her career, Ross has appeared in various film roles including The Glenn Miller Story (1954), Sabrina (1954), and Lust for Life (1956). She has also made minor television appearances, one of which was on the classic show The Lone Ranger (1954). Ross received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her performance on Happy Days, and later garnered two more nominations for her work on the CBS comedy-drama Brooklyn Bridge in 1992 and 1993. She received her fifth and final Emmy nomination in 1999 for her two-episode appearance on the CBS drama Touched by an Angel.
