Q'orianka Kilcher is an American actress best known for her roles in the films The New World (2005) and Princess Kaiulani (2009). Born in Schweigmatt, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany, Kilcher moved to Kapaʻa, Hawaii at a young age. Inspired by the local culture, she began hula dancing at five and trained in various dance styles including Tahitian, West African, ballet, hip hop, and modern dance. Kilcher's father is of Quechua-Huachipaeri background from Peru, while her mother is an American human rights activist of Swiss-German origin. In 2020, she appeared in a recurring role on the Paramount Network show Yellowstone.
