Rob Schneider, born Robert Michael Schneider on October 31, 1963, is an American actor and comedian. He gained recognition as a cast member and writer on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1988 to 1994. Schneider transitioned to feature films after leaving SNL, starring in comedy hits like Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999) and its sequel, The Animal (2001), The Hot Chick (2002), The Benchwarmers (2006), and Big Stan (2007). Schneider was born in San Francisco, California and grew up in nearby Pacifica. He is the father of singer Elle King. Schneider's parents were Pilar, a former kindergarten teacher, and Marvin, a real estate broker, with his mother being Catholic and his father being Jewish.
