Albert Salmi (March 11, 1928 – April 22, 1990) was an American actor of stage, film, and television. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, Salmi attended Haaren High School in Manhattan. After serving in the United States Army during World War II, he pursued a career in acting. Salmi studied method acting at the Actors Studio in Manhattan with Lee Strasberg. He appeared in over 150 film and television productions, establishing himself as a prolific character actor. Notable stage roles include Bo Decker in the play Bus Stop, praised by critics. Despite receiving offers for film work, Salmi declined as he did not enjoy it.
