    Billy McColl, born William Christopher McColl on December 25, 1954, is a retired Scottish footballer. He played as a midfielder for Clydebank, Ayr United, Clyde, and Albion Rovers in the 1970s and 1980s. McColl began his career with Clydebank in 1972, winning the Scottish Second Division title in the 1975-76 season. He also helped the club gain promotion to the Premier Division. In a match against St Mirren in 1976, McColl scored the opening goal on his birthday, which was the last senior match in England or Scotland played on Christmas Day. Overall, he made over 150 Scottish League appearances for Clydebank before transferring to Ayr United.
