Brita Filter, the stage name of Jesse Carl Havea, is an American drag queen known for their appearances on Shade: Queens of NYC and the twelfth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, where they placed 8th. Born in Anthem, Arizona and raised in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, Brita is of Tongan descent. They were raised Mormon and began their career as a child performer. Brita went on to study acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and performed in various regional and national productions. After landing the role of a stepsister in Cinderella, Brita adopted the stage name Brita Filter. They currently reside in Manhattan and continue to perform as a drag queen.
