Eva Catherine Gardner (born February 17, 1979) is an American bassist from Los Angeles. She is known for her work as a studio and touring musician with various bands and artists, including Cher, Gwen Stefani, P!NK, Veruca Salt, and Tegan and Sara. Gardner, the daughter of The Creation bassist Kim Gardner, credits her father as her primary influence. She graduated from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and holds a degree in ethnomusicology from UCLA. Gardner was a founding member of The Mars Volta, contributing to their first EP Tremulant and writing basslines for their album Deloused in the Comatorium. She has also toured with Tim Burgess and El Vez.
