    Hiroyuki Watanabe (渡辺 裕之) was a Japanese actor known for his roles in dramas and tokusatsu series. He portrayed Taiga Saejima in the tokusatsu series GARO and played Kamen Rider Gaoh in the Kamen Rider Den-O movie, Kamen Rider Den-O: I'm Born!. Born on December 9, 1955, in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, Watanabe graduated from Takushoku University, Faculty of Commerce. He began his entertainment career with a Coca-Cola television commercial in 1980. Watanabe was fluent in German and English, having learned German while working for Lufthansa. In 1994, he married actress Hideko Hara. Tragically, Watanabe was found dead in his home on May 3, 2022, with his death being announced as suicide by hanging.
