Jay Hernandez is an American actor born on February 20, 1978, in Montebello, California. He made his television debut in NBC's Hang Time and his film debut alongside Kirsten Dunst in Crazy/Beautiful (2001). Hernandez has starred in various films, including Friday Night Lights (2004), Hostel (2005), Bad Moms (2016), and played Chato Santana / El Diablo in Suicide Squad (2016). Since 2018, he has portrayed Thomas Magnum in the Magnum P.I. reboot. Hernandez attended Don Bosco Technical Institute and later transferred to Schurr High School. He met actress Daniella Deutscher when he was 20, and they eventually married. Hernandez's parents are Isis and Javier Hernandez Sr., and he has three siblings.
