Jimmy O. Yang (born June 11, 1987) is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and writer. He gained recognition for his roles in popular TV shows and movies. Yang is best known for his portrayal of Jian-Yang in the HBO comedy series Silicon Valley. He also played Dr. Chan Kaifang in the Netflix comedy series Space Force and Josh Lin in the Netflix romantic comedy film Love Hard (2021). Born in Hong Kong, Yang immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 13. He attended John Burroughs Middle School and later Beverly Hills High School. Yang graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in economics in 2009.
