Joan Copeland (born Joan Maxine Kupchik; June 1, 1922 – January 4, 2022) was an American actress and sister of playwright Arthur Miller. She began her career in the mid-1940s and was one of the first members admitted to the Actors Studio. Copeland had a successful stage career, appearing in productions such as the 1977 Broadway revival of Pal Joey and the 1981 play The American Clock, for which she received awards. She also made notable television and film appearances, including roles on soap operas like Search for Tomorrow and One Life to Live. Copeland lent her voice to the character Tanana in the animated film Brother Bear.
