Kathryn Kelly (March 18, 1904 – May 28, 1985) was an American criminal known for her involvement in bootlegging during the prohibition era. She gained notoriety as the wife of George Kelly Barnes, also known as 'Machine Gun Kelly,' and actively encouraged the perception of him as a dangerous criminal. In addition to her role in bootlegging, Kathryn was convicted for the kidnapping of oil tycoon Charles F. Urschel. Born Cleo Lera Mae Brooks in Saltillo, Mississippi, she later changed her name to Kathryn. Throughout her life, she had multiple marriages and a daughter named Pauline. Kathryn Kelly passed away on May 28, 1985.
