Kevin Maurice Garnett (born May 19, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player who played for 21 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Known as KG and the "Big Ticket," Garnett is regarded as one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history. He was renowned for his intense playing style, defensive prowess, and versatility. Garnett won both the NBA Most Valuable Player Award and the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award during his career. After being selected with the fifth overall pick in the 1995 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, he made an immediate impact, leading them to eight consecutive playoff appearances.
