Leigh Lawson Biography
Leigh Lawson is an English actor, director, and writer. He was born on July 21, 1945, in Atherstone, Warwickshire. Lawson studied at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and later at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He has appeared in film and television since the early 1970s, working with renowned directors like Roman Polanski and Franco Zeffirelli. Lawson has also directed plays in the West End and on Broadway. His notable film roles include Bernardo in 'Brother Sun, Sister Moon' (1972) and Alec d'Urberville in 'Tess' (1979). On television, he played the leading role of Alan Lomax in the drama series 'Travelling Man' (1984–85) and made guest appearances in shows like 'The Duchess of Duke Street' (1976) and 'Disraeli' (1978).
