Lloyd Bridges Biography
Lloyd Bridges (January 15, 1913 – March 10, 1998) was an American film, stage, and television actor known for his versatile performances. He appeared in over 150 feature films and starred in several popular television series. Bridges began his career as a contract performer for Columbia Pictures, with notable roles in films like Sahara (1943), A Walk in the Sun (1945), Little Big Horn (1951), and High Noon (1952). He gained widespread recognition for his lead role in the television series Sea Hunt from 1958 to 1961. In later years, Bridges showcased his comedic talent in parody films such as Airplane! (1980), Hot Shots! (1991), and Jane Austen's Mafia! (1998). He received two Emmy Award nominations and was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994.
