Lois Nettleton Biography
Lois June Nettleton (August 16, 1927 – January 18, 2008) was an American film, stage, radio, and television actress. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Nettleton attended Senn High School and studied at the Goodman School of Drama at the Art Institute of Chicago. She began her acting career in 1949, understudying Barbara Bel Geddes in the original Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Nettleton received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations and won two Daytime Emmy Awards throughout her career. Notably, she appeared in various films, stage productions, and television shows, showcasing her versatile acting skills and earning favorable reviews from critics and audiences alike.
