Mackenzie Crook (born Paul James Crook, 29 September 1971) is an English actor, comedian, director, and writer. He is known for his roles as Gareth Keenan in The Office, Ragetti in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, Orell in Game of Thrones, and Worzel Gummidge. Crook is the creator and star of BBC Four's Detectorists, which earned him two BAFTA awards. He also has major roles in the TV series Britannia as Veran and Harka, two leading druids. Born in Maidstone, Kent, Crook grew up in Dartford and attended Wilmington Grammar School for Boys. He has a background in comedy and has appeared in various television shows and films.
