Adrienne Monique Coleman, born on November 13, 1980, is an American actress and dancer. She is most recognized for her portrayal of Taylor McKessie in the High School Musical movie series. Born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Coleman began her acting career in theater and television in Columbia. She received training at the Workshop Theater School of Dramatic Arts, participating in numerous plays. Coleman completed her BFA in Acting from The Theater School at DePaul University in Chicago. Her breakout role came in the independent film Mother of the River (1995), followed by a Young Artists Award nomination for her performance in The Ditchdigger's Daughter. Coleman also wrote, directed, produced, and starred in her own one-person play titled "Vo."
