Paul David McCrane is an American actor, singer, and director, born on January 19, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He gained recognition for his roles in various films and TV shows. McCrane portrayed Montgomery MacNeil in the 1980 film Fame and Frank Berry in the 1984 film The Hotel New Hampshire. He also played Emil Antonowsky in RoboCop and Robert Romano in the NBC medical drama ER. McCrane started his career with a small role in Rocky II. He studied theatre at HB Studio in New York City. With his distinctive red hair, McCrane impressed audiences with his portrayal of Montgomery MacNeil in Fame.
