Paula Maxine Patton is an American actress and producer. Born on December 5, 1975, in Los Angeles, California, she made her feature film debut in the 2005 comedy Hitch. Patton has since had starring roles in various films including Déjà Vu (2006), Precious (2009), Jumping the Broom (2011), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), 2 Guns (2013), Warcraft (2016), and Sacrifice (2019). She graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School and attended both the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Southern California's Film School. In addition to her acting career, Patton provided additional vocals for Usher on his 2004 album Confessions.
