Rob Zombie (born Robert Bartleh Cummings; January 12, 1965) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, filmmaker, and actor. He initially rose to fame as the frontman of heavy metal band White Zombie, with whom he released four albums. Zombie's music and lyrics are known for their horror and sci-fi themes. In 1998, he released his debut solo studio album, Hellbilly Deluxe, which sold over 3 million copies worldwide. He has sold an estimated 15 million albums worldwide. Zombie has also directed several horror films, including House of 1000 Corpses (2000), which was released in 2003. Zombie is recognized for his elaborate shock rock theatricality in his live shows.
