Rose Jackson Biography
Rose Butler Jackson MLC is an Australian Labor Party politician and member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since May 8, 2019. She currently holds multiple ministerial positions in the Minns ministry, including Minister for Water, Minister for Housing, Minister for Homelessness, Minister for Mental Health, Minister for Youth, and Minister for the North Coast. Prior to her political career, Jackson served as the Assistant General Secretary of NSW Labor and Secretary of the New South Wales Labor Left faction. Known for her advocacy for drug law reform, industrial relations reform, and criminal justice reform, Jackson is the daughter of the late journalist Liz Jackson and filmmaker Martin Butler.
