He gained recognition with his portrayal of Steve Stifler in the American Pie franchise and as Doug Glatt in the Goon movies. Scott has appeared in various other films such as Dude, Where's My Car?, Final Destination, Road Trip, Evolution, The Dukes of Hazzard, Mr. Woodcock, and Role Models. He has also provided the voice for the character Crash in the Ice Age animated films. In addition to his film work, Scott portrayed Wesley Cole in the crime-drama TV series Lethal Weapon. With his film appearances, Scott has contributed to a total global box office earnings of $4.91 billion as of 2017.
