Stephen Kearney Biography
Stephen Peter Kearney is a New Zealand professional rugby league football coach and former player. Born on June 11, 1972, in Paraparaumu, New Zealand, Kearney had a successful club football career spanning from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s. He played for various teams including the Randwick Kingfishers, Western Suburbs Magpies, Auckland Warriors, Melbourne Storm (winning the 1999 NRL Premiership), and Hull F.C. (winning the 2005 Challenge Cup). Kearney also represented the New Zealand national team and captained them. He later became the head coach of the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL, the New Zealand national team (leading them to victory in the 2008 World Cup and 2011 Four Nations tournaments), and the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League.
