Steve Railsback Biography
Steve Railsback (born November 16, 1945) is an American actor known for his work in theatre, film, and television. He gained recognition for his performances in films such as The Stunt Man and Lifeforce, as well as for his portrayal of Charles Manson in the 1976 television miniseries Helter Skelter. Railsback studied under Lee Strasberg and the Actors Studio, and spent a decade working in theatre in New York City. He made his film debut in The Visitors, directed by Elia Kazan. Railsback has also portrayed other notable characters, including Ed Gein in the film In the Light of the Moon and Tom Carlsen in Tobe Hooper's Lifeforce. Additionally, he played Duane Barry in The X-Files and Joseph Welch in a yet-to-be-completed project.
