Stuart Margolin Biography
Stuart Margolin (January 31, 1940 – December 12, 2022) was an American actor and director known for his work in film, theater, and television. He gained recognition for his role as Evelyn 'Angel' Martin on the popular 1970s television series The Rockford Files, for which he won two Emmy Awards. Margolin also appeared on Gunsmoke in 1973 and played a significant role in Death Wish, providing Charles Bronson's character with his first gun. In the 1981–1982 television series Bret Maverick, Margolin portrayed the character of Philo Sandeen, a Native American tracker. Born in Davenport, Iowa, Margolin spent much of his childhood in Dallas, Texas, where he developed his passion for golf.
