Valene Kane Biography
Valene Kane is a Northern Irish actress known for her roles in various film and television projects. She gained recognition for her performances in all three series of BBC Two's BAFTA-nominated show, The Fall, where she portrayed Rose Stagg, Jamie Dornan's character's first lover. Born and raised in Newry, County Down, Kane began her acting career at a young age and became a member of the National Youth Theatre. She later moved to London to attend the Central School of Speech and Drama. Kane's talent caught the attention of director Ivan Kavanagh, who cast her in his film, The Fading Light, after seeing her in a YouTube short film called July. In addition to her screen work, Kane is set to portray Lady Macbeth in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Macbeth in 2023.
