Benicio del Toro, born on February 19, 1967, is a Puerto Rican actor and producer. He has received critical acclaim for his performances and has been honored with several awards, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Silver Bear. Del Toro gained recognition for his roles as police officer Javier Rodriguez in Traffic (2000) and ex-con Jack Jordan in 21 Grams (2003), for which he received an Academy Award nomination. He is also known for his roles in The Usual Suspects (1995), Basquiat (1996), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), Snatch (2000), and Sin City (2005).
