Adhir Kalyan is a South African actor known for his roles in the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement as Timmy and in United States of Al as Awalmir Karimi/'Al'. Born in Durban to an Indian South African family, Kalyan's mother, Santosh Vinita 'Sandy' Kalyan, was a member of Parliament in the South African National Assembly. He completed his schooling in Durban before moving to London to pursue his acting career. In London, he appeared in the BBC series Holby City, Spooks, and the Irish network RTÉ One's Fair City. Kalyan has also acted in independent films. He is recognized for his diverse talents and contributions to the entertainment industry.
