Alton Crawford Brown Jr. (born July 30, 1962) is an American television personality, food show presenter, chef, author, voice actor, and cinematographer. He is best known as the creator and host of the Food Network television show Good Eats, which aired for 16 seasons. In addition to Good Eats, Brown has hosted several other food-related shows including Feasting on Asphalt, Feasting on Waves, Iron Chef America, and Cutthroat Kitchen. He is also a successful author, with several best-selling books on food and cooking. Alton Brown was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and studied film at the University of Georgia. He has made significant contributions to the field of food entertainment and continues to be a prominent figure in the industry.
