Amanda Beard

Amanda Beard, born on October 29, 1981, is an American swimmer and a seven-time Olympic medalist. She has won two gold medals, four silver medals, and one bronze medal throughout her career. Beard is also a former world record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke. She has been recognized as the American Swimmer of the Year twice. In total, she has won twenty-one medals in major international competitions, including the Olympics, World Championships, Pan Pacific Championships, and Summer Universiade. At the age of 14, Beard made her first Olympic appearance at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She became the second-youngest American Olympic medalist, winning a gold medal and two silver medals.
