Barbra Streisand, born Barbara Joan Streisand on April 24, 1942, is an American singer and actress. With a career spanning over six decades, Streisand has achieved success in multiple fields of entertainment. She is one of the few performers to have received an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT) award. Streisand began her career performing in nightclubs and Broadway theaters in the early 1960s. She signed with Columbia Records and released her debut album, 'The Barbra Streisand Album,' in 1963, which won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Throughout her career, Streisand has topped the US Billboard 200 chart with 11 albums, including 'People,' 'The Way We Were,' 'Guilty,' and 'The Broadway Album.'
