Chris Ashworth

Christopher Michael Ashworth, born on March 13, 1975, in Farmville, Virginia, is an American actor. He is known for his portrayal of Sergei Malatov on the television series The Wire. Ashworth has a talent for mimicking accents and dialects, which has led him to commonly play characters from Eastern Europe. In addition to his acting career, Ashworth has trained in martial arts, specializing in Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu since 1993. He holds two associates' degrees in criminal justice and general studies, as well as a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Ashworth made his acting debut in the 2000 sci-fi film Aquarius and has appeared in various films and television series such as Cecil B. DeMented, The Replacements, The Watcher, Without a Trace, The Lost Room, and Terminator Salvation.
