Cliff Gorman Biography
Cliff Gorman (born Joel Joshua Goldberg) was an American actor known for his work on stage and screen. He gained recognition for his role in the stage production of The Boys in the Band, winning an Obie Award in 1968. Gorman reprised his role in the 1970 film adaptation. He also won a Tony Award in 1972 for his portrayal of Lenny Bruce in the play Lenny. Although Dustin Hoffman played the character in the film version, Gorman was chosen to play a Hoffman-like character reenacting Bruce in the movie version of All That Jazz (1979). Gorman appeared in various films, including Cops and Robbers (1973), Rosebud (1975), and The Bunker (1981).
