David Sakurai Biography
David Sakurai is a Danish-Japanese actor, director, scriptwriter, and martial artist. Born on July 19, 1979, in Copenhagen, Denmark, he was raised in Frederiksværk. Sakurai's passion for filmmaking led him to move to Japan at the age of 18, where he honed his acting skills. He started his career with smaller roles in theatre and indie films, such as Tokyo G.P. and Scarlet Runaway. Returning to Denmark in 2008, Sakurai worked with talented directors like Jack Hansen and trained under the Danish Actors' Association. Notable works include Eastern Army, where he played a leading role, and his performance in the Hungarian film Liza, the Fox-Fairy, which won the Grand Prize at Fantasporto in 2015.
