Diane Keaton (born Diane Hall, January 5, 1946) is an American actress known for her work in film and theater. With a career spanning over five decades, Keaton has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and two Golden Globe Awards. She has also been nominated for a Tony Award and two Emmy Awards. Keaton made her stage debut in the original 1968 Broadway production of Hair and gained recognition for her performance in Woody Allen's Play it Again, Sam, which earned her a Tony Award nomination. She made her screen debut in Lovers and Other Strangers (1970) and rose to fame with her role as Kay Adams-Corleone in The Godfather trilogy. Keaton has collaborated frequently with director Woody Allen, appearing in several of his films.
