Eileen Ryan Biography
Eileen Ryan (1927-2022) was an American actress known for her work in both theater and television. She was born on October 16, 1927, in the Bronx. Ryan studied at New York University and made her Broadway debut in 1953. She appeared in plays such as Sing Till Tomorrow and Comes a Day. In the 1960s and 1970s, Ryan had recurring roles in popular TV shows such as The Twilight Zone and Bonanza. She was married to actor and director Leo Penn and had three children, including actors Sean Penn and Chris Penn, and singer Michael Penn. Ryan's career progressively slowed down as she focused on raising her family. She passed away on October 9, 2022.
