Gabriel Basso, born Louis Gabriel Basso III on December 11, 1994, is an American actor known for his work in film and television. He began his career as a child actor and gained recognition for his role in the Showtime series The Big C from 2010 to 2013. Basso's notable film appearances include the 2011 science fiction film Super 8 and the 2013 comedy-drama The Kings of Summer. In 2020, he portrayed J. D. Vance in the drama Hillbilly Elegy. He also played the title role in the action thriller series The Night Agent for Netflix in 2023. Basso, born in St. Louis, Missouri, comes from a family of actors, including his sisters, Alexandra and Annalise Basso.
