Gaite Jansen

Gaite Sara Kim Jansen is a Dutch actress born on December 25, 1991, in Maastricht, the Netherlands. She received her professional training at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. Jansen gained recognition at a young age, winning the Best Actress Award at the 48 Hour Film Project in Amsterdam when she was 12 years old. Her portrayal of a troubled deaf teenager in the film 170 Hz (2011) garnered critical acclaim and earned her nominations for Best Actress at the Seattle Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Festival. Jansen has also made successful appearances on stage, including her debut in Hamlet vs. Hamlet and Medea. She has appeared in films such as Supernova and Greenland, and played a suicidal girl in the Dutch version of BeTipul, In Therapie.
