Gerran Howell is a British actor best known for his role as the titular character in the CBBC television series Young Dracula. Born and raised in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Howell attended Barry Comprehensive School before receiving training at the ATSLI improvisation workshop in Cardiff and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He made his debut in a short cinema advert warning about the dangers of swimming in Welsh Reservoirs and appeared in a short film by Ellis Watts. Howell's breakthrough came with Young Dracula, where he portrayed Vlad, a 13-year-old vampire navigating life in a rural Welsh town. The show aired from 2006 to 2014, with Howell's character evolving from a teenager to a powerful vampire with control over his abilities.
