Grace Byers

Grace Byers (née Gealey) is an American actress known for her roles in popular television series and films. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Anika Calhoun in the Fox music-industry drama series, Empire, which aired from 2015 to 2018. In 2021, Byers began starring as Quinn Joseph in the Amazon Prime Video comedy series, Harlem. She also played the leading role in the comedy horror film, The Blackening, released in 2022. Born in Butler, Pennsylvania, Byers was raised in the Cayman Islands and learned sign language due to having deaf parents. She holds a bachelor's degree in Theater Arts from the University of South Florida and a Master's of Fine Arts in acting from the University of California, Irvine.
