Jack Kruschen (March 20, 1922 – April 2, 2002) was a Canadian character actor known for his work in American film, television, and radio. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kruschen gained attention for his acting in an operetta at Hollywood High School, which led to work at CBS. He started working at a Los Angeles radio station at the age of 16 and served in the Army during World War II, assigned to the Armed Forces Radio Service. After the war, he continued his career in network programs, including Broadway Is My Beat and Pete Kelly's Blues, as well as frequent roles on anthology series, westerns, and crime dramas.
