Janine Turner

Janine Turner (born December 6, 1962) is an American actress, author, and public speaker. She is best known for her roles as Maggie O'Connell in the television series Northern Exposure, Jessie Deighan in the feature film Cliffhanger, and Katie McCoy in Friday Night Lights. Turner was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and grew up in Euless and Fort Worth, Texas. She began her acting career in 1980, appearing in several episodes of Dallas. Turner has made guest appearances on various television shows throughout the 1980s. In addition to her acting career, she is the founder and co-chair of Constituting America 2010.
