Jeffrey Hunter
Jeffrey Hunter (born Henry Herman McKinnies Jr.; November 25, 1926 – May 27, 1969) was an American film and television actor and producer. He gained recognition for his roles in films such as The Searchers and King of Kings. In 1965, Hunter portrayed Captain Christopher Pike in the original pilot episode of Star Trek. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Hunter moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Whitefish Bay High School. He began acting in local theater and radio during his early teens and made his professional radio debut in high school. Hunter's career spanned both film and television, making him a versatile actor in the entertainment industry.
