Joel Murray (born April 17, 1963) is an American actor known for his roles in television series such as Mad Men, Grand, Love & War, Dharma & Greg, Still Standing, and Shameless. He has also appeared in films including God Bless America and Monsters University. Murray, one of nine siblings, was raised in Wilmette, Illinois, in an Irish Catholic family. His father, Edward Joseph Murray II, was a lumber salesman, and his mother, Lucille Collins, was a mail room clerk. Murray's older brothers are actors Bill Murray, Brian Doyle-Murray, and John Murray. He started his entertainment career in Chicago, Illinois.
